Section 46, Diplomatic and Consular Officers (Oaths and Fees) (Extension to Jammu and Kashmir) Act, 1973 [S1P-15D]

46. Registration of legals practitioner.—(1) Every legal practitioner shall, within thirty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the practice of law after such commencement, within thirty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the High Court in Form B, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees. (2) The High Court shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No legal practitioner shall carry on the practice of law unless registered under this section.
