Section 53, Passports Act, 1967 [S1K-4KX]

53. Registration of carriers.—(1) Every carrier shall, within fourteen days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the carriage of passengers to India after such commencement, within thirty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the passport authority in Form S, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees. (2) The passport authority shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No carrier shall carry on the carriage of passengers to India unless registered under this section.
