Section 18, Land Acquisition (Amendment and Validation) Act, 1967 [S1K-5NN]

18. Registration of transferees.—(1) Every transferee shall, within one hundred and eighty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the transfer of property after such commencement, within one hundred and eighty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Collector in Form 1, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees. (2) The Collector shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No transferee shall carry on the transfer of property unless registered under this section.
