25. Registration of persons in possession of land.—(1) Every person in possession of land shall, within thirty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the possession of land after such commencement, within thirty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Collector in Form 7, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees. (2) The Collector shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No person in possession of land shall carry on the possession of land unless registered under this section.
