10. Procedure for the possession of land.—(1) Every person in possession of land shall, before undertaking the possession of land, intimate the Collector in writing, specifying the mutation concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Collector may, within thirty days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
