25. Registration of occupiers of land near a monument.—(1) Every occupier of land near a monument shall, within thirty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the occupation of land near a monument after such commencement, within thirty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Director General in Form II, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees. (2) The Director General shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No occupier of land near a monument shall carry on the occupation of land near a monument unless registered under this section.
