11. Procedure for the sale of arms and ammunition.—(1) Every dealer in arms and ammunition shall, before undertaking the sale of arms and ammunition, intimate the District Magistrate in writing, specifying the register concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The District Magistrate may, within fifteen days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
