42. Maintenance of records and furnishing of returns.—(1) Every keeper of a place of public resort shall maintain such records and registers relating to the conduct of a place of public resort as may be prescribed and shall preserve them for a period of five years. (2) Every keeper of a place of public resort shall furnish to the District Magistrate a return in Form I within thirty days from the end of every financial year, and such other information as the District Magistrate may, by order in writing, require.
