Section 4, Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957 [S1E-82W]

4. Registration of agents.—(1) Every agent shall, within thirty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the management of a mine after such commencement, within thirty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Controller General in Form F, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees. (2) The Controller General shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No agent shall carry on the management of a mine unless registered under this section.
