53. Registration of permits holder.—(1) Every permit holder shall, within thirty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the use of a transport vehicle after such commencement, within thirty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the State Transport Authority in Form 29, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees. (2) The State Transport Authority shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No permit holder shall carry on the use of a transport vehicle unless registered under this section.
