18. Registration of printers of election material.—(1) Every printer of election material shall, within thirty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the printing of election material after such commencement, within thirty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Election Commission in Form 2A, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees. (2) The Election Commission shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No printer of election material shall carry on the printing of election material unless registered under this section.
