10. Procedure for the business of a pawnbroker.—(1) Every person carrying on the business of a pawnbroker shall, before undertaking the business of a pawnbroker, intimate the District Magistrate in writing, specifying the premises concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The District Magistrate may, within seven days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
