Section 32, Commercial Documents Evidence Act, 1939 [S18-FJG]

32. Registration of firms.—(1) Every firm shall, within thirty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the business of a firm after such commencement, within thirty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Registrar in Form C, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees. (2) The Registrar shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No firm shall carry on the business of a firm unless registered under this section.
