12. Procedure for the solemnisation of marriages.—(1) Every registered priest shall, before undertaking the solemnisation of marriages, intimate the Registrar General in writing, specifying the certificate concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Registrar General may, within ninety days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
