60. Registration of persons engaged in the supply of energy.—(1) Every person engaged in the supply of energy shall, within sixty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the storage of petroleum after such commencement, within ninety days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Central Commission in Form I, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees. (2) The Central Commission shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No person engaged in the supply of energy shall carry on the storage of petroleum unless registered under this section.
