Section 4, Official Secrets Act, 1923 [S17-6AK]

4. Registration of persons employed in a defence installation.—(1) Every person employed in a defence installation shall, within seven days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the entry into a defence installation after such commencement, within seven days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Director-General in Form B, accompanied by a fee of nil rupees. (2) The Director-General shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No person employed in a defence installation shall carry on the entry into a defence installation unless registered under this section.
