Section 53, Post Office Cash Certificates Act, 1917 [S16-NBZ]

53. Registration of subscribers.—(1) Every subscriber shall, within thirty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the use of a telecommunication service after such commencement, within thirty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Authority in Form C, accompanied by a fee of ten lakh rupees. (2) The Authority shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No subscriber shall carry on the use of a telecommunication service unless registered under this section.
