4. Registration of stocks exchange.—(1) Every stock exchange shall, within one month from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the transfer of securities after such commencement, within one month from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Collector in Form B, accompanied by a fee of fifty rupees. (2) The Collector shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No stock exchange shall carry on the transfer of securities unless registered under this section.
