11. Procedure for the solemnisation of marriages.—(1) Every Marriage Officer shall, before undertaking the solemnisation of marriages, intimate the Registrar General in writing, specifying the marriage register concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Registrar General may, within sixty days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
