10. Procedure for the placement of children for adoption.—(1) Every adoption agency shall, before undertaking the placement of children for adoption, intimate the Registrar General in writing, specifying the notice concerned and the period for which it is proposed to be undertaken. (2) The Registrar General may, within thirty days of the receipt of the intimation, require the person to furnish such further particulars as it considers necessary.
