39. Registration of persons interested.—(1) Every person interested shall, within one hundred and eighty days from the commencement of this Act or, where such person begins the claiming of compensation after such commencement, within one hundred and eighty days from the date of such beginning, make an application for registration to the Collector in Form 1, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees. (2) The Collector shall, on being satisfied that the application is in order, register the applicant and issue a certificate of registration in such form as may be prescribed. (3) No person interested shall carry on the claiming of compensation unless registered under this section.
