ORDER

Subject: The cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is pleased to order that

1. In the circumstances reported by the Circle Inspector of Excise, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall furnish Form B to the Collector within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall make an application in Form B to the Collector within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of hemp under licence is undertaken, and the Collector shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
