ORDER

Subject: The tapping of toddy by toddy tappers under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is pleased to order that

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Superintendent, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall furnish Form B to the Excise Commissioner within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form B to the Excise Commissioner within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the tapping of toddy is undertaken, and the Excise Commissioner shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
