ORDER

Subject: The tapping of toddy by toddy tappers under the Delhi Excise Act, 2009, regarding.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Delhi Excise Act, 2009 (Delhi Act 10 of 2009), the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi is pleased to order that

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Superintendent, the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi, after careful examination, hereby orders that every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall furnish Form C to the Licensing Authority within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every toddy tapper carrying on the tapping of toddy shall make an application in Form C to the Licensing Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the tapping of toddy is undertaken, and the Licensing Authority shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi.
