NOTIFICATION

New Delhi, the 28th March, 2026

S.O. 4921(E).

Whereas the Central Government is of opinion that it is necessary to appoint a Commission of Inquiry for the purpose of making an inquiry into a definite matter of public importance; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 (53 of 2005), the Central Government hereby appoints a Commission of Inquiry consisting of the Deputy Collector as its sole member, to inquire into the matter of the holding of a mass gathering by organisers of a mass gathering and to report within fourteen days.
