In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 (53 of 2005), the Central Government hereby extends to the Union territory of Chandigarh

the Disaster Management Act, 2005 (53 of 2005), with effect from the 7th March, 2007, subject to the modification that references to the State Government shall be construed as references to the Administrator of the Union territory.
