GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The performance of marriage ceremonies by registered priests under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Conciliation Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every registered priest carrying on the performance of marriage ceremonies shall furnish Form II to the Family Court within seven days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every registered priest carrying on the performance of marriage ceremonies shall make an application in Form II to the Family Court within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the performance of marriage ceremonies is undertaken, and the Family Court shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
