GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The transport of excisable articles by transporters under the Goa Excise Duty Act, 1964, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Sub-Inspector of Excise, the Government of Goa, after careful examination, hereby orders that every transporter carrying on the transport of excisable articles shall furnish Form B to the Excise Appellate Authority within twenty-one days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every transporter carrying on the transport of excisable articles shall make an application in Form B to the Excise Appellate Authority within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of fifty thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the transport of excisable articles is undertaken, and the Excise Appellate Authority shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Housing Department, Government of Goa.
