GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp under the West Bengal Excise Act, 1909, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Guard, the Government of West Bengal, after careful examination, hereby orders that every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall furnish Form E to the Excise Appellate Authority within thirty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall make an application in Form E to the Excise Appellate Authority within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of hemp under licence is undertaken, and the Excise Appellate Authority shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of West Bengal.
