GOVERNMENT RESOLUTION
Subject: The execution of works for a Panchayat by contractors engaged by a Panchayat under the Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Extension Officer, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall furnish Form 7 to the Director of Panchayats within twenty-one days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor engaged by a Panchayat carrying on the execution of works for a Panchayat shall make an application in Form 7 to the Director of Panchayats within twenty-one days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of works for a Panchayat is undertaken, and the Director of Panchayats shall dispose of it within twenty-one days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government resolution may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Maharashtra.
