GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The operation of a houseboat by operators of a houseboat under the Tamil Nadu Ancient and Historical Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1966, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Director of Tourism, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every operator of a houseboat carrying on the operation of a houseboat shall furnish Form VIII to the Director of Tourism within seven days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every operator of a houseboat carrying on the operation of a houseboat shall make an application in Form VIII to the Director of Tourism within seven days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the operation of a houseboat is undertaken, and the Director of Tourism shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
