GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The registration of births and deaths by registrars of births and deaths under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Child Welfare Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every registrar of births and deaths carrying on the registration of births and deaths shall furnish Form I to the Registrar of Marriages within one hundred and twenty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registrar of births and deaths carrying on the registration of births and deaths shall make an application in Form I to the Registrar of Marriages within one hundred and twenty days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the registration of births and deaths is undertaken, and the Registrar of Marriages shall dispose of it within one hundred and twenty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Revenue Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
