GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: Home-based work for wages by home-based workers under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Social Security Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every home-based worker carrying on home-based work for wages shall furnish Form 12 to the Commissioner within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every home-based worker carrying on home-based work for wages shall make an application in Form 12 to the Commissioner within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one hundred rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which home-based work for wages is undertaken, and the Commissioner shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Mines and Geology Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
