GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The possession of land by persons in possession of land under the Bihar Tenancy Act, 1885, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Village Accountant, the Government of Bihar, after careful examination, hereby orders that every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall furnish Form 14 to the Collector within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every person in possession of land carrying on the possession of land shall make an application in Form 14 to the Collector within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the possession of land is undertaken, and the Collector shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Social Welfare Department, Government of Bihar.
