GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The performance of marriage ceremonies by registered priests under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Sub-Registrar, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every registered priest carrying on the performance of marriage ceremonies shall furnish Form VI to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every registered priest carrying on the performance of marriage ceremonies shall make an application in Form VI to the Central Adoption Resource Authority within seven days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the performance of marriage ceremonies is undertaken, and the Central Adoption Resource Authority shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
