GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The foster care of a child by foster parents under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Marriage Officer, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every foster parent carrying on the foster care of a child shall furnish Form IV to the District Registrar within sixty days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every foster parent carrying on the foster care of a child shall make an application in Form IV to the District Registrar within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the foster care of a child is undertaken, and the District Registrar shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
