GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The foster care of a child by foster parents under the Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code Act, 2024, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Registrar of Marriages, the Government of Uttarakhand, after careful examination, hereby orders that every foster parent carrying on the foster care of a child shall furnish Form IV to the Government of Uttarakhand within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every foster parent carrying on the foster care of a child shall make an application in Form IV to the Government of Uttarakhand within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of twenty rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the foster care of a child is undertaken, and the Government of Uttarakhand shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Uttarakhand.
