GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The execution of canal works by contractors for canal works under the Tamil Nadu Groundwater (Development and Management) Act, 2003, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Ground Water Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every contractor for canal works carrying on the execution of canal works shall furnish Form H to the Tribunal within thirty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every contractor for canal works carrying on the execution of canal works shall make an application in Form H to the Tribunal within thirty days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the execution of canal works is undertaken, and the Tribunal shall dispose of it within thirty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Water Resources Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
