GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The publication of textbooks by publishers of textbooks under the Maharashtra Universities Act, 2016, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Registrar, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every publisher of textbooks carrying on the publication of textbooks shall furnish Form D to the Commission within seven days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every publisher of textbooks carrying on the publication of textbooks shall make an application in Form D to the Commission within seven days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the publication of textbooks is undertaken, and the Commission shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Education Department, Government of Maharashtra.
