GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The cultivation of hemp under licence by cultivators of hemp under the Madhya Pradesh Excise Act, 1915, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Guard, the Government of Madhya Pradesh, after careful examination, hereby orders that every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall furnish Form C to the Licensing Authority within sixty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cultivator of hemp carrying on the cultivation of hemp under licence shall make an application in Form C to the Licensing Authority within sixty days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the cultivation of hemp under licence is undertaken, and the Licensing Authority shall dispose of it within sixty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Consumer Affairs Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh.
