GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The recycling of ships by ship recyclers under the Tamil Nadu Maritime Board Act, 1995, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Port Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every ship recycler carrying on the recycling of ships shall furnish Form 5 to the Port Authority within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every ship recycler carrying on the recycling of ships shall make an application in Form 5 to the Port Authority within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of one lakh rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the recycling of ships is undertaken, and the Port Authority shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
