Chennai, dated the 13th September, 2024

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The repair of firearms by repairers of firearms under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the officer in charge of a police station, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every repairer of firearms carrying on the repair of firearms shall furnish Form VI to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every repairer of firearms carrying on the repair of firearms shall make an application in Form VI to the Sub-Divisional Magistrate within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the repair of firearms is undertaken, and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Home Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
