Chennai, dated the 14th June, 2024

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: Employment in a covered establishment by insured persons under the Tamil Nadu Manual Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Work) Act, 1982, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Assistant Director, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every insured person carrying on employment in a covered establishment shall furnish Form 6 to the Regional Board within fifteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every insured person carrying on employment in a covered establishment shall make an application in Form 6 to the Regional Board within fifteen days, accompanied by a fee of two hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which employment in a covered establishment is undertaken, and the Regional Board shall dispose of it within fifteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Labour Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
