GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The keeping of a printing press by keepers of a printing press under the Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act, 1937, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the officer in charge of a police station, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every keeper of a printing press carrying on the keeping of a printing press shall furnish Form VII to the Licensing Authority within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every keeper of a printing press carrying on the keeping of a printing press shall make an application in Form VII to the Licensing Authority within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the keeping of a printing press is undertaken, and the Licensing Authority shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the General Administration Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
