GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The conduct of Government business by a bank by bank conducting Government businesses under the Gujarat Infrastructure Development Act, 1999, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Audit Officer, the Government of Gujarat, after careful examination, hereby orders that every bank conducting Government business carrying on the conduct of Government business by a bank shall furnish Form GFR 12-A to the Controller General of Accounts within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every bank conducting Government business carrying on the conduct of Government business by a bank shall make an application in Form GFR 12-A to the Controller General of Accounts within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of two thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the conduct of Government business by a bank is undertaken, and the Controller General of Accounts shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Finance Department, Government of Gujarat.
