Chandigarh, dated the 9th September, 2023

GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The import of liquor into the State by importers of liquor under the Punjab Excise Act, 1914, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Excise Guard, the Government of Punjab, after careful examination, hereby orders that every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall furnish Form A to the Commissioner within fourteen days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every importer of liquor carrying on the import of liquor into the State shall make an application in Form A to the Commissioner within fourteen days, accompanied by a fee of five hundred rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the import of liquor into the State is undertaken, and the Commissioner shall dispose of it within fourteen days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Punjab.
