GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a saw mill by owners of a saw mill under the Kerala Forest Act, 1961, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the Range Forest Officer, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every owner of a saw mill carrying on the running of a saw mill shall furnish Form IV to the Biodiversity Authority within one hundred and eighty days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every owner of a saw mill carrying on the running of a saw mill shall make an application in Form IV to the Biodiversity Authority within one hundred and eighty days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a saw mill is undertaken, and the Biodiversity Authority shall dispose of it within one hundred and eighty days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Environment Department, Government of Kerala.
