GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: Dealing in antiquities by dealers in antiquities under the Maharashtra Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1960, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Deputy Superintending Archaeologist, the Government of Maharashtra, after careful examination, hereby orders that every dealer in antiquities carrying on dealing in antiquities shall furnish Form I to the Heritage Committee within seven days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every dealer in antiquities carrying on dealing in antiquities shall make an application in Form I to the Heritage Committee within seven days, accompanied by a fee of ten thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which dealing in antiquities is undertaken, and the Heritage Committee shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Tourism Department, Government of Maharashtra.
