GOVERNMENT ORDER

Subject: The running of a cyber cafe by cyber cafe operators under the Kerala Police Act, 2011, regarding.

1. In the circumstances reported by the adjudicating officer, the Government of Kerala, after careful examination, hereby orders that every cyber cafe operator carrying on the running of a cyber cafe shall furnish Form A to the Data Protection Board within forty-five days.

2. The matter has been examined. Every cyber cafe operator carrying on the running of a cyber cafe shall make an application in Form A to the Data Protection Board within forty-five days, accompanied by a fee of five thousand rupees.

3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the running of a cyber cafe is undertaken, and the Data Protection Board shall dispose of it within forty-five days of its receipt.

4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Excise Department, Government of Kerala.
