GOVERNMENT ORDER
Subject: The pilotage of vessels by pilots of a port under the Tamil Nadu Maritime Board Act, 1995, regarding.
1. In the circumstances reported by the Port Officer, the Government of Tamil Nadu, after careful examination, hereby orders that every pilot of a port carrying on the pilotage of vessels shall furnish Form 7 to the Registrar of Ships within seven days.
2. The matter has been examined. Every pilot of a port carrying on the pilotage of vessels shall make an application in Form 7 to the Registrar of Ships within seven days, accompanied by a fee of one thousand rupees.
3. It is, accordingly, clarified that a separate application shall be made in respect of each place at which the pilotage of vessels is undertaken, and the Registrar of Ships shall dispose of it within seven days of its receipt.
4. Difficulties, if any, in the implementation of this government order may be brought to the notice of the Ports Department, Government of Tamil Nadu.
